Job summary

Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking a Shift Coordinator for the Pediatric Inpatient Psychiatry (Adolescent/Child) unit. The RN will lead the patient care delivery team, coordinate planning and evaluation, and ensure continuity of high-quality clinical care on a shift-to-shift basis.

The role requires a DC RN license, a Bachelor’s degree, and at least two years of nursing experience with a year in pediatrics.

Qualifications

• 1 year Recent pediatric experience in a comparable setting. (Required)

Responsibilities

• Participate and support Shared Leadership in nursing.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of the patient care delivery team.
• Plan, manage and evaluate unit-based clinical care for continuity.
• Communicate effectively and provide performance feedback to staff.
• Promote safety and ensure timely patient discharge planning.
