Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center l Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Radiation Oncologist

The Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. (HMFP) in Boston in collaboration with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) are actively seeking a full-time Radiation Oncology faculty member with interest/expertise in Pediatric Proton Radiation Oncology. This individual will serve as the Pediatric Radiation Oncology Disease Site Leader, providing clinical and academic leadership while advancing multidisciplinary care, research, and program development for pediatric patients. The primary clinical practice location will be at our Main Campuses in the Longwood Medical Area of Boston, Massachusetts.

The candidate must be a board-certified radiation oncologist and must have completed their residency in an ACGME-accredited radiation oncology program and/or fellowship in an accredited US training program. Applicants must have a demonstrated record of excellence in pediatric radiation oncology care/research and have exceptional clinical and interpersonal skills with a desire to work as part of a collegial, collaborative, multi-disciplinary team. Additionally, clinical and research expertise in proton therapy for pediatric patients is required. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development, growth and leadership of our pediatric radiation oncology program and will help shape the development of our innovative proton therapy program featuring next-generation upright proton therapy technology, including a dedicated upright CT simulator. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the design and implementation of a cutting-edge clinical program while advancing research and expanding access to state-of-the-art proton therapy for children with cancer. The ideal candidate will contribute to our institutions’ research and teaching missions.

The selected candidate will be appointed to an academic rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School (HMS), commensurate with a formal HMS review of the candidate’s academic accomplishments/ contributions and teaching responsibilities.
