Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a Cardiovascular Operating Room professional on a PRN Day shift to support the Cardiothoracic Service Line and uphold high patient care standards.

The role requires 1+ cardiovascular OR experience, BLS certification, and CST or NTSC credentials. You will collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and staff to ensure efficient turnover and exceptional perioperative care.

Qualifications

• 1+ cardiovascular operating room experience (Required).
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• CST or NTSC certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain good relationships with physicians, management, other departments and staff; investigate and respond to complaints in a timely manner.
• Participate in Cardiothoracic Service Line Improvement projects and contribute to quality outcomes.
• Support customer and employee satisfaction initiatives.

Job Description:

• Maintains good relationships with physicians, management, other departments, and staff, and investigates and responds to complaints in a timely manner.
• Actively participates in Cardiothoracic Service Line Performance Improvement projects and completes at least one project annually to improve outcomes and quality for Cardiothoracic patients.
• Supports customer and employee satisfaction activities of the organization.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and keeps the circulating nurse informed of any needs throughout a procedure.
• Assists the team with safe and appropriate operating room turnover times in an efficient and organized manner.

Work Experience:

• 1+ cardiovascular operating room experience [Required]
• Department specific advanced competencies [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] AND
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) [Required] OR
• Technician in Surgery - Certified (NTSC) [Required]
