Job summary

PediaTrust is seeking a dedicated pediatric nurse (RN or LPN) to monitor and manage the health of children in a daily setting. You will administer medications, monitor vital signs, and coordinate with families to ensure compliant, high-quality care.

Responsibilities include emergency response, infection control, accurate record-keeping, and collaboration with caregivers to maintain up-to-date care plans. Pediatric-specific certifications are required to qualify for this role.

Qualifications

• RN with pediatric experience: 1+ years, or LPN with 2+ years pediatric experience.
• LPN: 1+ year pediatric experience or 2 years as direct care worker for medically complex children.
• BLS Certification required.
• Current State License required.
• CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor the physical and emotional health of children during the day and report distress.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes in condition.
• Administer prescribed medications, injections, IVs, and treatments per care plans and protocols.
• Ensure hygiene, infection control, and safety procedures are followed.
• Use of medical equipment (feeding tubes, oxygen therapy, ventilators, etc.) per care plans.
• Assist children with feeding, mobility, restroom needs, and other complex care tasks.
• Respond to medical emergencies with CPR, first aid, and life-saving procedures.
• Collaborate with parents/guardians on medical needs and health updates.
• Update and follow care plans.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
