Job summary

PediaTrust LLC in Hinsdale, IL is seeking a Casual Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care in an office setting and support families with triage and care coordination. This PRN role emphasizes compassionate patient interactions and teamwork within a pediatric practice.

Responsibilities include triage calls, immunizations, education, diagnostic coordination, and adherence to office protocols while supporting digital health workflows and core values.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Epic or other EMR systems preferred.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and plan daily responsibilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Current Illinois Licensure as an RN/LPN; CPR certified.

Responsibilities

• Provides assessment of patients in the office and administers direct patient care as ordered by the provider.
• Manages and documents incoming patient telephone calls and assesses need for patient appointments or delivers home care advice and management per printed triage guidelines or under the direction of a provider.
• Provides patient/parent education on diagnoses and treatment, as per provider orders.
• Prepares and administers immunizations or other medications per office protocol and provider orders.
• Assists in scheduling diagnostic procedures and referrals to specialists, per provider orders.
• Monitors completion of ordered diagnostic tests and routes results accordingly.
• Assists in communicating results to patient/parent and coordinates any necessary follow up.
• Reviews incoming faxes and forms as well as specialist, hospital and emergency room reports and routes to appropriate provider for their review. Assists in any follow up as indicated by the provider.
• Coordinates the ordering and administration of medications for specific patient populations.
• Performs office lab tests as ordered by a provider and remains proficient in completion of tests.
• Performs and supports PediaTrust Core Values and digital health workflows and initiatives.
