Job summary

First Day Homecare® is seeking skilled pediatric private duty nurses to provide in-home care under physician orders. The role reports to the Clinical Supervisor and carries no direct supervision responsibilities.

Responsibilities include administering nursing care per the client plan, documenting changes, and coordinating with the care team while maintaining safety and compliance with agency standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license to practice as an RN or LPN in the state of operation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care per orders and client care plan.
• Maintains orders and documents changes in the medical record following Agency procedures.
• Scope includes pediatric services such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.
• Works collaboratively with the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs duties per Agency policies and standards.
• Coordinates care and attends Agency meetings as requested.
• Performs other related duties as deemed necessary.
