Job summary

First Day Homecare is seeking a registered nurse to provide skilled pediatric private duty nursing services under physician orders and within state Nurse Practice Act guidelines in a home setting in Georgia. The role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care, administering medications, monitoring patient status, and coordinating with families and care teams.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, CPR certification, a valid driver's license, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN license in the state of operation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care under physician orders and client care plans.
• Maintains orders and documents changes in the medical record per agency procedures.
• Cares for pediatric clients including tracheostomy, ventilator management, and tube feeds.
• Collaborates with the client’s care team and family.
• Ensures personal safety and safety of clients and coworkers.
