Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Nurse – Pre-Anesthesia to join a growing team focused on patient safety and surgical readiness. This role uses assessment and triage skills to identify higher-risk patients and ensure they are prepared for anesthesia.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with no holidays or weekends. The position collaborates with NPs and anesthesia team to coordinate care, review records, and support families throughout the preoperative process.

Qualificações

• Current RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a pediatric Critical Care Inpatient environment (NICU, PICU, PreOp/PACU, CVICU or ED).
• Strong assessment, triage, communication, and follow-up skills.

Responsabilidades

• Perform clinical assessment and triage of patients preparing for anesthesia.
• Identify patients requiring additional evaluation or cardiac/pulmonary clearance.
• Review charts and obtain outside records and specialty information.
• Participate in virtual Pre-Anesthesia Clinic visits with the NP and anesthesia team.
• Follow up with patients before surgery to confirm readiness and identify changes in condition.
• Collaborate with NPs, anesthesiologists, and other clinical teams.
• Help reduce avoidable surgical cancellations and improve patient safety.
