Job summary

Penn State Health Milton Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA, seeks a Pediatric Physician Assistant for the Orthopaedic Surgery team.   • Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of employment
  • National Certification in State of employment or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in the State of employment
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Pediatric Physician Assistant Orthopaedic Surgery

Location: US:PA: Hershey
Work Type:Full Time
FTE:1.0
Shift:Day
Hours:M-F 7am to 6pm, varied depending on Inpatient, OR and Clinic


SUMMARY OF POSITION:


APP will have experience working with pediatric patients, including those with neuromuscular disorders, rare syndromes, and other complex medical conditions. In addition to pediatric orthopaedic experience, the successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively educate and support patients and their families. The candidate should also be highly collaborative, with experience coordinating care across multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care for children with complex healthcare needs.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):



  • Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of employment

  • National Certification in State of employment or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in the State of employment

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification


PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):


Prior Pediatric work experience.
