Job summary

Apparo Academy, a faith-based early intervention educational and therapeutic center in Augusta, GA, seeks a Pediatric Physical Therapist to serve children from 6 weeks to 10 years. You will provide evidence-based PT services in both classroom and outpatient settings, fostering gross motor development, mobility, and functional independence through individualized plans and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Education: Doctorate or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Georgia state license in good standing (or eligibility to obtain).
• Certifications: CPR/BLS certified.
• Experience: Pediatric experience preferred, especially in early intervention or school-based settings.
• Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, flexibility, and EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations using standardized assessment tools.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with each child's needs and family goals.
• Deliver therapy services in both educational and clinical environments.
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to integrate goals into classroom routines.
• Monitor and document progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
• Educate families and provide home exercise programs and guidance.
• Maintain documentation in compliance with Medicaid, private insurance, and organizational standards.
• Participate in IEP/IFSP development and progress reviews.
• Maintain productivity targets and complete billing in a timely manner.
• Mentor interns as assigned.
• Ensure safety and well-being of all students during sessions and transitions.
