Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience required. New graduates will be considered based on educational experiences.
• Florida State License to practice Physical Therapy required.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required upon hire.
• Member of professional specialty organizations (APTA, FPTA) preferred.
• Prior pediatrics experience preferred.
• Must be available for weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provides Physical Therapy evaluation, treatment, and consultation to patients referred to the Nemours Children’s Hospital Therapeutic and Rehabilitation Services Department.
• Demonstrates proficiency in pediatric physical therapy for patients ages birth to 21 years; neonates as required by setting.
• Assists in mentoring affiliating physical therapy students, new staff, and volunteers.
• Keeps current with trends and research in pediatric physical therapy; attends education and in-services.
• Completes timely documentation per departmental policy and accreditation standards.
