Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care provides specialized pediatric physical therapy services across the Dallas Metroplex, with clinicians delivering care in patients\' homes and daytime facilities. The practice emphasizes mentoring, career support, and collaborative family-centered care to help children reach their fullest potential.

We seek licensed physical therapists with pediatric experience, preferably in home health, including new grads with 6 weeks pediatric PT exposure.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Texas PT license required.
• Pediatric experience required; new grads: minimum 6 weeks pediatric PT exposure (internship acceptable).
• Home health experience preferred.
• Spanish language skills a plus.
• Valid auto insurance and driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
