Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality pediatric home health services for children aged 0–21. Services occur in patients' homes or daytime facilities, typically two or more times per week according to physician orders.

You will assess impairments, plan interventions, interpret data, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Training and supervision of staff or assistants may be required; Spanish-speaking candidates are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have graduate degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Texas license to practice physical therapy is required.
• Pediatrics experience is required (new grads: 6 weeks pediatric OT experience acceptable).
• Home health experience is preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and a drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
• Define degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment using appropriate testing tools.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals; advise, consult, and instruct on PT modalities and interventions.
• Plan and modify care to meet therapy goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients; design and deliver training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.
