Job summary

La Rabida Children’s Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide PT services across inpatient and outpatient settings, including early intervention and physician clinics. The PT will practice within clinical competence and uphold professional standards.

The PT will develop professional skills, supervise students, and handle administrative tasks related to patient care. A current Illinois PT license is required; bilingual Spanish/English and CPR certification are preferred

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (PT).
• Pediatric experience required; preference for experience with children’s organizations.
• Current Illinois PT license; EI credential preferred; GPT considered with supervision.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish and English) are a plus; CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional PT services per established standards and regulatory requirements.
• Select appropriate evaluation tools, administer and interpret findings.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, doctors, payers and other professionals.
• Deliver safe and effective treatment.
• Demonstrate cost-effective use of extenders and materials.
• Lead the treatment team and support families.
• Develop education materials and adapt to family needs.
• Document patient care timely and accurately in the chart.
• Coordinate referrals and care plans with the care team.
