Job summary

Kids At Play Therapy is seeking a full-time Pediatric Physical Therapist to work on-site in Puyallup, WA. You will evaluate children’s motor skills, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions focused on mobility, strength, and coordination.

You will document assessments and progress notes, collaborate with families and other providers, and educate families on home exercise programs to support carryover between home and school.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent is required.
• Active state license or eligibility for licensure is required.
• Experience with children in clinical or school settings is preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills are essential.
• Knowledge of pediatric developmental milestones is important.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pediatric Physical Therapist role based in Puyallup, WA. The Pediatric Physical Therapist will evaluate children’s motor skills and functional abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions focused on strength, balance, coordination, and mobility. Daily responsibilities include conducting therapeutic sessions, documenting assessments and progress notes, and collaborating with families, caregivers, and other providers to support carryover of strategies at home and school. The role also involves educating families on home exercise programs, using play-based activities to motivate children, maintaining accurate clinical records, and participating in team meetings to continually improve care.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Physical Therapy and Pediatric Physical Therapy for evaluation, treatment planning, and intervention.
• Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Medicine and Pediatrics to understand developmental milestones and pediatric conditions.
• Candidates should possess Rehabilitation skills to promote functional independence, recovery, and participation in daily activities.
• Active state license (or eligibility for licensure) as a Physical Therapist; Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent required.
• Prior experience working with children in a clinical or school-based setting is strongly preferred.
• Ability to build trust with children and families, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong documentation, time management, and organizational skills, with commitment to ethical, inclusive, and evidence-based practice.
