Job summary

MO-SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in Missouri is seeking a Phlebotomist I – Pediatrics for an evening shift, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM, 40 hours weekly. The role supports compassionate pediatric care in a collaborative clinical environment, with preference for candidates who have experience with newborns and heel sticks.

Under direct supervision, you will perform routine lab tasks, may perform phlebotomy and waived testing, and support the laboratory with clerical duties such as admission

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or 10 years of work experience.
• No experience required for the role.
• Evening shift duties and lab support duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers including answering phones and inquiries.
• Collect, label, process and preserve blood, urine and other specimens.
• Enter lab orders in the EMR system.
• Clean and maintain laboratory supplies and workspace.
• May perform phlebotomy and waived testing.
• Identify patients using two identifiers.
• Handle admissions activities and insurance verification.
• Adhere to safety and lab procedures.
