The ideal candidate has 2 years of phlebotomy experience, preferably in a pediatric setting, with CPR and ASCP phlebotomy certification as assets.

Qualifications

• 2 years of phlebotomy experience including newborns to adolescents.
• Experience in a pediatric hospital setting preferred.
• CPR certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens from patients aged newborn to 21 years using age-appropriate communication.
• Perform venipuncture and various tests; ensure specimen integrity and proper labeling.
• Follow safety and HIPAA protocols and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Support lean process improvements by efficient, accurate specimen collection and clerical tasks.
