Job summary

Interpath Laboratory is seeking a Phlebotomist/Processor to join our Swing Shift team in Boise, Idaho. Newly certified phlebotomists are encouraged to apply, though previous professional phlebotomy experience is preferred.

You will perform patient blood draws and assist with specimen pickups, supporting our partnership with Treasure Valley Hospital. This is a full-time role with a 1:30pm–10:30pm schedule, Monday through Friday, and starting pay at $18 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Newly certified phlebotomists encouraged to apply; prior professional phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administrative duties: Providing excellent customer service to patients and families, answering phones, and monitoring instrumentation alarms.
• Technical: Performing venipuncture for blood collection and preparing samples for lab testing, with focus on pediatric patients.
• Accurate data management: Verifying specimen information and data entry.
• Specimen handling: Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity.
• Compliance: Following safety protocols, HIPAA, Medicare rules, and participating in quality assurance.
• Flexibility: Supporting clinic operations and coverage as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day workflow.
