Job summary

Children’s Nebraska is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the Pharmacist with drug distribution in a hospital setting. You will prepare non-sterile and sterile medications, support automated dispensing systems and ensure regulatory compliance under Nebraska laws.

Under supervision, you’ll handle inventory, labeling and delivery to patient care areas, while engaging in process improvements and maintaining stock levels.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma Or GED equivalent required.
• One year hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compounds and prepares medications (non-sterile & sterile) safely and accurately.
• Complies with USP 795, 797 and 800 standards and documents tasks in records.
• Delivers medications to patient care areas and returns unused meds to the pharmacy.
• Maintains stock levels and manages inventory and expiration dates.
