Job summary

Memorial Hermann Children's Hospital is expanding with a satellite pharmacy opening in 2027 to support a new Heart Center ICU/IMU team. We are recruiting for two full-time night pharmacists from 8:30 p.m. to 7 a.m., on a 7 on/7 off schedule.

Hospital experience, especially with pediatrics, is highly desired, and IV compounding experience is a plus. Responsibilities include filling and labeling prescriptions, providing drug information to patients and staff, supervising pharmacy technicians, and

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Licenses/Certifications: Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in Texas; IV Certification required if sterile compounds are made.

Responsibilities

• Fills and labels prescriptions for in-patients and staff.
• Dispenses controlled substances and maintains inventory records.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and mentors residents/students.
• Participates in Medication Use Evaluation and Process Improvement programs.
• Maintains medication profiles and IV solutions preparation.
• Adheres to state/federal laws and hospital policies.
