Job summary
Memorial Hermann Children's Hospital is seeking a pharmacist for an evening shift on a part-time basis to support our new Heart Center ICU/IMU team. The role includes filling and labeling prescriptions, counseling patients and staff, and supervising pharmacy technicians. Requirements include Texas Pharmacist license and IV certification; pediatric hospital experience is highly desired.
Hospital pharmacy experience and IV compounding duties are emphasized. Shift options: 2:30–11 p.m.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in Texas; IV certification preferred.
- Pediatric hospital experience is highly desired.
- Experience in hospital pharmacy settings is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Fills and labels prescriptions for in-patients and out-patients.
- Provides drug information to patients, staff and medical teams.
- Supervises pharmacy technicians and mentors students/residents.
- Participates in medication use evaluation and process improvements.
- Maintains IV solutions preparation and compounding as required.
