Job summary

Progeny HR Solutions LLC is seeking a Pediatric Perfusionist to provide perfusion services for pediatric cardiac surgery. The role collaborates with the surgical team to ensure safe use of bypass and other perfusion techniques, with on-call flexibility and a focus on patient safety.

Ideal candidates hold a CCP certification, a Bachelor’s degree in Perfusion Technology or related field, and a minimum of two years’ pediatric perfusion experience, ready to join a fast-paced team in the San Antonio

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Perfusion Technology or related field.
• CCP certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric perfusionist experience.
• Knowledge of cardiopulmonary bypass equipment and perfusion techniques.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cardiopulmonary bypass equipment during pediatric cardiac surgery.
• Monitor and adjust blood flow and oxygen levels to maintain physiology.
• Administer and manage blood products and medications as required.
• Communicate with the surgical team for safe and timely completion of procedures.
• Document all perfusion-related activities accurately and timely.
• Participate in quality improvement and adhere to safety standards.
• Train and educate other professionals on perfusion techniques and equipment.
• Stay updated on current perfusion practices and attend relevant conferences.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Perfusionist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing perfusion services to pediatric patients undergoing cardiac surgery. You will work closely with the surgical team to ensure the safe and effective use of cardiopulmonary bypass and other perfusion techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cardiopulmonary bypass equipment during pediatric cardiac surgery procedures
• Monitor and adjust blood flow, oxygen levels, and other parameters to maintain the patient's physiological status
• Administer and manage blood products and medications as required
• Communicate with the surgical team to ensure the safe and timely completion of the procedure
• Document all perfusion-related activities accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all safety standards and protocols
• Train and educate other healthcare professionals on perfusion techniques and equipment as needed
• Stay updated on current perfusion practices and attend relevant conferences and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills
