Job summary

Le Bonheur Children's Hospital's Heart Institute in Memphis seeks a full-time Pediatric Perfusionist to support congenital cardiac surgery, heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support.

The role offers collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists and nurses; involvement in research and education; and a focus on pediatric patient care. ABCP certification and Tennessee licensure are required or achievable within the first year.

Qualifications

Job description

The Heart Institute at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital is seeking a full-time Pediatric Perfusionist to join our congenital cardiac surgery team. This position provides perfusion support for neonatal and pediatric cardiac surgery, heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support.

Program highlights include approximately 150 cardiopulmonary bypass cases annually and a dedicated nurse-driven ECMO program. Call is shared equally among three perfusionists, supporting a healthy work life balance. Opportunities for research, education and professional development are available.

Responsibilities include providing safe reliable perfusion services for congenital cardiac surgery, heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support. Collaborate closely with two surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses and other Heart institute team members. Maintain accurate documentation while adhering to hospital and departmental protocols.

Requirements

• ABCP certification required, or ability to obtain certification within the first year of employment.
