Job summary

Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, CT is seeking a Part-time Patient Support Associate to provide safe patient supervision, assist with transportation, equipment preparation, and maintain a clean unit under the direction of a licensed nurse.

The role requires the ability to work independently, read, write and understand directions in English, and communicate clearly. Preferred: experience with special needs populations and basic computer skills; CPI or Safety Care certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, supervised patient activities and support under a licensed nurse.
• Transport patients as needed for treatment.
• Prepare and organize equipment for patient care.
• Maintain unit cleanliness and organize supplies.
• Perform clerical tasks in staffing office as assigned.
