Job summary

Pediatric Health Choice is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support the nursing team in delivering daily care to medically fragile children in the center. The role emphasizes safety, developmentally appropriate activities, and compassionate, family-centered care.

You will assist with routine child care, collect vitals, and document responses while maintaining confidentiality and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working with infants, toddlers, or children preferred.
• Previous healthcare, patient care, or child care experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Assists the nursing team in providing daily care to children in the center.
• Performs assigned patient care tasks and assists with treatments as directed.
• Participates in data collection such as vital signs, weights, and specimen collection.
• Documents observations, interventions, and child responses in designated records.
• Reports any child or family concerns to the Registered Nurse.
• Maintains confidentiality and follows infection control practices.
• Assists with care for children in isolation as assigned.
• Participates in play, child development, and educational activities.
• Attends team meetings and required trainings.
