Job summary

George Mark Children’s House is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct pediatric palliative care and coordinate patient services within the Nursing Department. The role supports the mission of compassionate care and requires collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

This 60% (24 hours/week) part‑time night shift (11 pm–7:30 am) includes rotating weekends and holidays; California RN license and BLS/CPR are required, with BSN preferred and at least 2 years in pediatric acute/critical

Qualifications

Current California Registered Nurse license without limitations is required.
BSN preferred.
Current BLS/CPR certification.
A minimum of 2 years of acute or critical care pediatrics required.
End of life care experience preferred.
Ability to communicate accurately and concisely using both written and verbal skills.
Ability to manage a caseload independently.
Experience with electronic medical records is expected.
Fluency in English is required; Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care and coordinate care within the Nursing Department.
Coordinate plan of care with the interdisciplinary team for pediatric palliative care.
Assess patients and report changes to physicians and update treatment plans.
Supervise LVNs, CNAs, and volunteers as needed.
Participate in admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Adhere to infection control policies and HIPAA regulations.
Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and coordinate with team members.
