Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • ELNEC in Pediatrics completion.
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with inpatient and ambulatory staff to clarify reason for Pediatric palliative care consultation or referral and coordinates timing of consults and care conferences.
  • Serves as a point person for patients and families coordinating care plan changes and providing instruction.
  • Develops and maintains clinical knowledge of pediatric palliative care and symptom management; liaises with data registries and develops care algorithms.
  • Coordinates nursing care and acts as a liaison to ensure continuity of patient care among providers.
