Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
• Current PA Physician Assistant License.
• PA-C or board eligible.
• Four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ongoing successful recertification (NCCPA) as a PA-C within 90 days of hire.
• CPR - American Heart Association.
• PALS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 clearance certificates.

Responsibilities

• Provides pediatric patient care including history, physicals, and care plans.
• Orders labs and tests, documents medical records, and coordinates care with team.
• Communicates with patient, family, and interdisciplinary team about plan of care.
• Monitors continuity of care and arranges physician evaluations as needed.
• Prepares prescription orders per supervising physician(s).
• Educates patients and families on health prevention and treatment instructions.
• Triages pediatric calls and supports ongoing care.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance.
