Job summary

The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania is seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant (PA) to rotate days and nights in a pediatric inpatient setting. The PA will provide care to neonates through age 21, following established standards and practicing under PA licensure in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities include exams, diagnostics, treatment plans, prescriptions, and family education. The role requires two years of pediatric PA experience and the ability to obtain prescriptive authority

Qualifications

• Must have completed an approved Physician Assistant program and be licensed in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of two years as a Pediatric Physician Assistant.
• Ability to obtain prescriptive authority within 90 days of hire.
• Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and obtain medical histories.
• Order labs and diagnostic procedures as appropriate.
• Interpret data to form preliminary diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications per state law and guidelines.
• Communicate with parents/families about conditions and care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health and prevention.
• Coordinate care with other clinicians and specialists.
• Handle administrative tasks and ensure proper documentation.
