Job summary
Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking a highly organized Registered Nurse II to join our Outpatient Orthopedic Sports Team. This non-acute nursing role supports pediatric hand surgical patients, providing care coordination, patient and family education, triage, and collaboration with providers to ensure a seamless surgical journey.
The position involves travel between Burnet, Green, Mason, and Liberty locations, 32 hours per week, day shift, and 0.8 FTE, with a flexible
Qualifications
- Current Ohio Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
- Pediatric outpatient/orthopedic care preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate care for pediatric sports surgery patients across pre-op, operative, and post-op stages.
- Triage calls and messages, assess needs, and respond appropriately.
- Educate patients/families on pre/post-operative plans and rehab.
- Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, therapists, and surgical teams.
- Maintain timely EMR documentation and assist with OR scheduling.
