Job summary

The University of Virginia’s Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery invites applications for a Pediatric Otolaryngologist. This position will focus on clinical care for children with complex head and neck problems, with duties in the outpatient pediatric clinic and education for medical students and residents.

Open to Assistant and Associate Professor candidates and open track. Salary, rank, and tenure status depend on qualifications and experience and aligned with School of Medicine

Qualifications

• MD required and Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Otolaryngology.
• Completion of Pediatric Otolaryngology fellowship at time of hire.
• Strong interest in academic medicine, teaching, and research.

Description

The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Virginia seeks applicants for a Pediatric Otolaryngologist. The candidate will provide and direct clinical care for children with complex head and neck problems as well as treating patients in the outpatient pediatric clinic. An active role in the education and training of medical students and department residents will be expected. This position will be open to Assistant and Associate Professor candidates and open track. Salary, rank, and tenure status are dependent upon qualifications and experience and are subject to the School of Medicine Promotion and Tenure guidelines.

Candidates must have a strong interest in a career in academic medicine. Preference will be given to candidates who bring unique clinical expertise and are engaged in teaching and clinical research.
