Job summary

Northside Center for Child Development in New York, NY, seeks a Licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapy under each child’s IEP/IFSP and to conduct comprehensive assessments addressing development and daily living skills.

You will deliver services individually and in groups, document sessions, obtain and upload prescriptions, and maintain regulatory compliance while collaborating with families, teachers, and other professionals.

Qualifications

• MS OT degree from ACOTE-accredited program.
• NYS OT license.
• NBCOT certification.
• Experience working with children with communication disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services as outlined in each child’s IEP.
• Deliver services to children individually and in groups, using push-in and pull-out models.
• Accurately document therapy time by signing children in and out of sessions.
• Obtain required prescriptions for all children and upload them into the EasyTrac Database System.
• Complete all required documentation, including session notes and reports, within established timeframes.
• Collaborate with teachers, peers, and parents; attend team and CPSE/CSE meetings.
• Maintain knowledge of billing codes and ensure licensure remains current.
• Supervise COTA staff when applicable and participate in ongoing professional development.
