Job summary

MedCare Pediatric Group, LP is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate children, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based pediatric OT services in the Greater Houston area.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and a supportive team, with flexible scheduling and a sign-on bonus. Applicants must have a Texas OT license and a pediatric focus is preferred. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Texas OT license by start date.
• New graduates encouraged to apply.
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Prior supervision of COTAs preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Provide evidence-based OT services per physician-approved Plans of Care.
• Address fine motor, sensory processing, coordination, strength, ROM, self-care, visual-motor integration, behavior and ADLs.
• Monitor progress and modify plans as needed.
• Educate families on techniques and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) license by anticipated start date
• New graduates are encouraged to apply
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
• Previous experience supervising COTAs is preferred but not required

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals
• Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services in accordance with physician-approved Plans of Care
• Address functional skills including fine motor development, sensory processing, coordination, strength, range of motion, self-care, visual-motor integration, behavioral regulation, and activities of daily living
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
• Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
