Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking an Orthopedic Support Technician to assist in inpatient and outpatient settings. You’ll support orthopedic surgeons, apply traction and hardware systems, and help patients and families with care needs while maintaining safety and quality.

No minimum experience required; preferred candidates may have pediatric care exposure, BLS certification within 30 days, and familiarity with casting, splinting, and aseptic technique.

Qualifications

• Six months of clinical exposure in orthopedics or related field is preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment or prior to first day in department.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to all orthopedic service staff members.
• Applies and maintains traction and other patient hardware systems.
• Works with patients and families on all aspects of care.
• Demonstrates safety and aseptic technique in line with policies.
