Job summary

Shriners Children’s Las Vegas is seeking a full-time Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon to join a multidisciplinary team delivering comprehensive musculoskeletal care for children.

The role encompasses advanced surgical and non-surgical treatment across the full spectrum of pediatric orthopedic conditions, with academic engagement and collaboration with residents and other specialists. Call is optional and compensation details reflect program growth and support.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME accredited residency in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Completion of fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery.
• ABOS board certification or eligibility, with subspecialty in Pediatric Orthopedics.
• Eligibility for active and unrestricted medical licensure in the state of practice.
• Eligibility for active DEA.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers and PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning for pediatric orthopedic conditions.
• Provide surgical and non-surgical management per standards of care.
• Inpatient/outpatient care including pre/postoperative management and discharge planning.
• Perform operative procedures per institutional protocols and safety standards.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, physiatrists, therapists, and subspecialists.
• Maintain documentation in the EHR per regulatory requirements.
• Participate in shared call coverage and hospital rounds.
• Contribute to quality improvement and clinical governance.
• Engage in medical education, research, and scholarly activities as applicable.

Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery fellowship

ABOS board certification or eligibility (pediatric orthopedics)

State licensure eligibility
