Job summary

Shriners Children’s Twin Cities is seeking a part‑time Physician Assistant to join our pediatric orthopedic team. The role entails outpatient care, pre‑ and post‑operative management, and coordination with surgeons, nurses, and staff. The position is 0.6 FTE, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Responsibilities include casting, fracture care, ordering imaging, and participating in outreach clinics. Competitive salary with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Master of Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted PA license in the state of practice.
• NCCPA certification.
• DEA eligibility.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• PALS certification may be required based on assignment.
• Credentialing and privileging per hospital bylaws.
• Strong pediatric assessment and clinical decision‑making skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical exams for pediatric patients.
• Develop differential diagnoses and care plans with supervising physicians.
• Manage care for orthopedic, spinal, and neuromuscular patients.
• Provide pre‑operative and post‑operative evaluations and management.
• Order and interpret imaging and labs within licensure and protocol.
• Perform procedures and assist in surgeries within licensure scope.
• Prescribe medications and therapies per policy.
• Participate in multidisciplinary clinics and care conferences.
