Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking an Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support residents and orthodontists in pediatric care. You will prep patients, assist during procedures, and help maintain the exam rooms and instrumentation to ensure smooth patient flow.

Ideal candidates have at least a high school diploma and either a dental assistant program or related experience; licensure requirements include DANB ICE within 1 year and RHS within 6 months, with orthodontic certification possible.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to dental residents and dentists to ensure timely patient flow and efficiency of care.
• Receives and seats incoming patients in a pleasant, courteous and professional manner.
• Maintains care of all instruments and equipment to ensure proper function and clinical efficiency.
• Maintains and cleans treatment rooms and sterilization area for a clean, safe environment.
