Lone Peak Dental Group, serving Akron Smiles in Akron, Ohio, seeks a reliable Orthodontic Assistant who enjoys working with kids and families. You will support orthodontists during appointments, take X-rays, and help sustain a friendly, kid-centered environment.

The role offers full-time hours, some Saturdays, competitive benefits, and CE opportunities. X-ray and CPR certification are required; prior ortho experience is preferred, with training provided.

Qualifications

• X-ray and CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an ortho practice preferred, training provided for the right candidate.
• Completion of an accredited orthodontic assistant program preferred.
• Additional certification or training is a plus.
• Experience with Denticon software or iTero scanners is a plus.
• Full-time role (30+ hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure smooth patient flow and maintain a kid-friendly environment.
