Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a Staff Nurse to join the Pediatric Operating Room team in New York, NY. This role provides expert pediatric surgical nursing, circulates and scrubs, and collaborates with the team to improve patient outcomes. It is a full-time day-shift position.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a NYS RN license; BCLS certification is required and CNOR is preferred. At least two years OR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• At least two years RN experience in the Operating Room preferred.
• Current New York State RN license; BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required; CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Pediatric Operating Room.
• Circulate and scrub during surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment in the operating room.
• Assist in developing and implementing patient care plans.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes.
• Educate patients and families about post-operative care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
