Job summary

Phoenix Children’s Hospital is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Main Operating Room in Phoenix, AZ. The role requires 1–2 years of circulating nurse experience or Periop 101 training, with NO NEW GRADS accepted.

You will provide age-appropriate nursing care during surgery, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, techs and nurses in a Level I trauma hospital setting. Shift is M–F, DAY hours 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Two year ADN, or four year BSN, or Diploma Nursing degree - Required
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in RN to BSN - Preferred

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing assessment of patient conditions by age/condition to determine initial plan
• Continually evaluates patient responses and documents progress for timely communication
• Maintains medication, storage and documentation standards per policy
• Provides unit orientation to patients and families on policies and processes
• Supervises and mentors team members to ensure patient safety and quality care
• Participates in patient rounds and care conferences to coordinate plan of care
