Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network seeks BC/BE subspecialty Ophthalmologists fellowship-trained in Pediatric Ophthalmology to join a respected academic community. The position emphasizes clinical care, teaching and supervision of trainees.

Duties include contributing to the Division of Pediatric Ophthalmology, education of patients and families, collaboration with physicians and staff, and participation in scholarly activities within SLUHN.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school.
• Completion of residency and/or fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology.
• MD or DO licensed by state medical board and board-certified/eligible.

Responsibilities

• Performs history and physical examinations of patients.
• Provide cost-effective, high-quality care based on evidence-based medicine.
• Adhere to standardized orders and practice guidelines approved by medical staff.
• Demonstrates competency in assessment, development, and communication appropriate to patient age.
• Educates patients and families and coordinates care with referring physicians and other professionals.
