Job summary

Children’s Eye Care of Michigan is seeking a fellowship-trained, board-certified/board-eligible pediatric ophthalmologist to join our physician-owned private practice in metropolitan Detroit. You will provide comprehensive pediatric ophthalmic care and contribute to an AUPO-accredited fellowship program in a setting that combines private practice autonomy with academic involvement.

The role offers exposure to high-volume pediatric pathology and a broad referral base, with teaching

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required and board certified or board eligible in Ophthalmology.
• AUPO-accredited fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
• Strong clinical and surgical skills in pediatric ophthalmology.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric ophthalmic care including management of glaucoma, cataracts, retinopathy of prematurity, ocular trauma, strabismus and amblyopia.
• Participate in teaching and fellowship activities at the affiliated academic clinic.
• Collaborate with private practice leadership while engaging in patient care within a physician-owned practice.
• Contribute to research and academic programs as part of the teaching hospital affiliation.
• Engage in adult strabismus care when appropriate but primary focus is pediatric ophthalmology.
