The Department of Ophthalmology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is recruiting a Pediatric Ophthalmologist at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level. Salary and appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
We seek an outstanding individual with an MD degree who is board certified (or eligible) by the American Board of Ophthalmology and eligible for Texas medical licensure. Requirements include successful completion of an ACGME (or equivalent) accredited residency in Ophthalmology and an AUPO accredited fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology.
Responsibilities include sharing clinical and didactic training duties with three current full-time Pediatric Ophthalmologists, managing patient care at Children's Medical Center Dallas and affiliated faculty practice sites, and demonstrating interest and skills in all aspects of Pediatric Ophthalmology and adult strabismus. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in medical and surgical management of Pediatric Glaucoma. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than full-time employment.
