Job summary

Dayton Children's is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant for the 1st shift to support our Ophthalmology department. This entry-level role works under supervision to prepare patients for exams, perform standard tests, and take measurements prior to the ophthalmologist's assessment.

Education includes a HS Diploma or GED with an Associate degree preferred; 2-3 years of experience required and 4+ years preferred. The position runs 8:00AM–4:30PM, Monday through Friday on our Main Campus.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• 2-3 years experience required.
• 4+ years experience preferred.
• Basic patient care and computer knowledge required.
• Direct patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for ophthalmic exams and perform standard tests.
