Job summary

The University of Miami Health System in Miami, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the clinical team. You will assess patients, plan and document care, and collaborate with physicians to implement treatment plans end-to-end.

Minimum qualifications include Florida RN license, ACLS and BLS, and BSN preferred; ASN with plan to complete BSN also acceptable. This is a full-time staff position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Florida Registered Nurse license is required; ACLS and BLS certification.
• BSN preferred; ASN holders have 2 years to complete BSN.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and evaluate plans; document nursing care and vital signs.
• Review and report diagnostic tests to assess condition.
• Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, and provide information about treatment plans.
• Administer medications and maintain accurate medication records in accordance with policies.
• Communicate plan of care to patient, family, and team while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with discharge planning and adapt to changing work demands.
• Operate medical equipment safely and serve as a preceptor to new staff.
• Adhere to University policies and safeguard assets.
