Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to support the Pediatric Oncology program at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ. You will develop oncology care plans, investigate drug processes, and work with the Pediatric Oncology Care Team and Staff Pharmacists to improve patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate has pediatric oncology experience, oncology pharmacy practice, and/or investigational drug services.

Qualifications

• This position requires a Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD) and completion of a PGY1 residency.
• Board certification in a relevant specialty is preferred or required within stated timelines.
• Arizona licensure or ability to obtain licensure is required by hire.

Responsibilities

• Critically evaluates disease states and adjusts therapy to optimize outcomes.
• Provides drug information and educates healthcare teams and patients.
• Reviews medication orders for accuracy and safety with patient data.
• Implements quality improvement and participates in drug use evaluations.
• Serves as a resource and mentor to pharmacists, students, and residents.
