Job summary

UCP of Central Florida seeks a Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver high-quality therapy in in-clinic and outpatient settings. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to support therapy goals for children with and without disabilities, and you will prepare progress notes, conduct home visits when needed, and collaborate with staff and families.

The role requires an OT assistant license in Florida and an associate degree in OT, with preference for 1 year of pediatric

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy is required or preferred.
• Active Occupational Therapy Assistant license from the State of Florida is required.
• 1-year experience with pediatric population in a multidisciplinary setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Submit accurate and timely Super bills daily
• Provide and monitor client coverage and schedules weekly to meet productivity goals
• Adapt therapy sessions to patient needs and assist in goal setting
• Write daily progress notes following guidelines
• Conduct home visits/assessments when necessary
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality for all files
• Provide OT consultations to education staff and participate in multidisciplinary planning
• Provide parent consultations and home program instructions
• Generate monthly parent therapy notes for in-clinic clients
• Assist with demonstrations and staff trainings
