Job summary

Healing Haven LLC seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support pediatric therapy in a state-of-the-art behavioral health clinic for children with autism. You will work with OTs, BCBAs, SLPs, and other professionals to deliver client-centered care in a family-inclusive setting.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and communicating with families and physicians.

Qualifications

• Active licensure and certification required by the state of Michigan.
• Pediatric OT experience in a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of autism spectrum disorder.
• Ability to lift 30+ pounds.
• Proficiency with EMR systems.
• Knowledge of insurance requirements for OT services.
• Ability to stand, squat, bend, push, pull, and perform related activities.

Responsibilities

• Implement and execute an individualized treatment plan under the supervision of a licensed OT.
• Address daily living, motor, sensory integration needs to promote independence.
• Communicate with clients, families, physicians, and team members.
• Provide timely documentation per company requirements.
• Ensure documentation meets insurance and licensing requirements.
• Attend weekly ancillary service meetings with the team.
• Report changes in client status to the supervising OT.
• Meet productivity standards established by the company.
• Maintain safety of self, clients, and colleagues.
• Maintain quality client care through interdisciplinary communication.
• Coordinate treatment goals with team members.
