Associates in Pediatric Therapy is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support pediatric clients under supervision, helping improve daily living skills and independence through individualized plans.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• NBCOT certification or exam eligibility required.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Team-oriented with ability to collaborate with other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed documentation of treatment provided, length of treatment and progress toward outcomes identified in plan of care set by an occupational therapist.
• Follow through on treatment plans to suit the individual needs of a diverse patient population.
• Educate patients, parents and caregivers about functional/self-care delays, causes and plan of care.
• Report patient progress and current status to family members, caregiver or medical professional.
• Team with parent, caregiver or other therapists in a therapy session as appropriate.
• Make referrals for additional patient services as needed.
