Small Talk Pediatric Therapy is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support pediatric clients under supervision of an OT. This full-time, in-person role focuses on developing skills for daily life, play, and independence through patient-centered, evidence-based interventions.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current COTA certification and eligibility to obtain license before starting.
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach to working with families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide engaging, evidence-based interventions to support play, self-care, motor skills, and daily routines.
• Adapt activities within the plan to fit each child’s needs and responses to treatment.
• Observe and document progress, sharing changes with the supervising OT and contributing to planning.
• Reinforce family education and home strategies in coordination with the supervising OT.
• Maintain timely, accurate treatment documentation.
• Prepare therapy materials and maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
• Collaborate with teammates while working within your scope and supervision requirements.
